Acrylics in various forms make up the majority of her work, often in layered washes or opaque brushstrokes. She also utilizes other tools like pencils, charcoal, and oil sticks, and is no stranger to using her hands directly onto the canvas.
What she appreciates most about abstract artwork is the permission it allows the viewer to perceive it with no bounds or instruction. No two people will view it in the exact same way.
It’s what’s in between the obvious where the depth, conversation, and feeling take form, allowing a newness to reveal itself with each observation.
